It is estimated that in Slovenia, a country with a population of slightly over 2 million, 13,000 new jobs have been created in the blockchain industry already. The European Union is also promoting the development of the blockchain technology. Recently, through its Digital Europe 2021-2027 program, the EU funded the development of blockchain with a total of €9.2 billion. Also, the Republic of Croatia acceded to the European Blockchain Partnership Declaration in 2019, along with Italy, Greece, Danmark, and other countries.
